Resitu Medical develops easy-to-use ultrasound guided instruments intended for safe removal of abnormalities without open surgery. The minimally invasive single-use device uses diathermy to provide large samples for histopathological examination, reducing the risk for ambiguous tissue analysis or incorrect result. The Resitu technology has the potential to shorten the process of breast cancer management substantially with reduced need for re-sampling and revisits for the patient, by removing the need for open surgery altogether
XEOS
XEOS wants to tackle the limitations of today’s available imaging techniques applied in surgical oncology, by using the transformative power of molecular Imaging intra-operatively. The AURA 10 is the first-ever PET-CT specimen imager for the operating room, offering surgeons and imaging specialists the sensitivity of PET imaging at submillimeter spatial resolution. Thanks to the AURA 10 mobile scanner, a specimen does no longer need to be transported to the radiology or pathology department during surgery. High-quality specimen images can now be obtained in the OR within 10 minutes after excision. Founded in 2019 in Ghent, Belgium, XEOS is an expert in specimen imaging and focuses on improving outcomes in surgical oncology through innovations in intraoperative imaging.
